Zmola was a stonemason and the assistant to Karel, the Master Builder at the Sasau Monastery, and was responsible for the smaller building site while Karel managed the church construction.

Biography[]
Zmola was known to be very vain, dressing in fine clothing not suitable for construction work, indicating he merely supervised rather than work alongside the stonemasons.
After an accident resulted in the death of a worker named Jarek; Henry, on the orders of Sir Divish of Talmberg in The House of God, came to Sasau to investigate. Henry questioned Zmola, who claimed he was not nearby when it occurred, and that he had not seen anything suspicious. Zmola maintained that the stones had all been thoroughly checked but that some must have been more weathered, leading to an accident - but not murder.
Later however, when the scaffolder Leshek goes missing, he tells Henry that the two had planned to meet that evening on top of the scaffolding, where Leshek claimed he had something to confess. It turned out to be a trap, and Zmola had blackmailed the Mason to kill Henry while he went to murder Leshek. Henry quickly reports the matter to the Overseer, and Zmola is killed in the arrest attempt.
However, if Henry doesn't go to the scaffolding - or even better, doesn't tell Zmola he figured out the skull was fake - but instead finds Leshek himself, he can then confront Zmola himself. He may question why Zmola did what he did, and the young supervisor will angrily retort it was a combination of luck, ambition and desperation.
