Vostatek is Otto von Bergow's gamekeeper in the Trosky area in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
He becomes available as a trainer in Survival, Houndmaster and Drinking skills (Basics) after completing his associated quest.
Biography[]
Vostatek is considered one of the best huntsmen in the area, and thus was named Lord von Bergow's gamekeeper. As such, he takes orders from the lord, which sometimes send him out for days at a time. As a result of his position, his family lives in a cabin in the area that's reserved for the lord's huntsman.
Despite this, he is also a known drunkard, which his son, Vitek, has little respect for and openly shows his disapproval in his father's behavior regardless of who's around to hear it.
Unfortunately for Vostatek, his position doesn't come without certain moral dilemmas. While he'd typically been asked by von Bergow to take care of some already dead bodies, which he'd take deep into the woods for wolves to finish off, about two years ago he was asked to kill someone: a girl no more than 15 years old. Fearing he couldn't refuse a lord's direct orders, Vostatek carried out the killing, but discovered right after she was pregnant and realized she had likely been carrying the illegitimate child of Jan Bergow, Otto von Bergow's son. The gameskeeper informed his wife what had happened, but continued to be haunted by the girl's senseless death for years.
