- A letter of safe conduct issued by Sigismund of Luxembourg himself, giving the bearer the right of free movement and the privilege to judge his own subjects according to customary law, not the law of the land.

We, Sigismund, by the grace of God King of Hungary, Dalmatia, and Croatia, expander of the Empire, and so forth, have been humbly requested by our faithful servant, Voivode of his nomadic people, to attest to Our special indulgence.
Therefore, accept his respectful request and do not reject this letter. In such a case, if the aforementioned Voivode and his people appear at any place within Our Empire, in any town or village, we recommend you to show him the loyalty that you thereby show to Us. For his merits, We hereby confirm to him the possibility of free and unrestricted movement.
If any among them is found drunk, if anyone provokes a quarrel of any kind, we desire and decree that only the Voivode himself has the sole right to judge, punish, grant forgiveness and absolution according to his own customary law.
