Biography[]
His father has high hopes for him, sure that one day he will be a Master Armourer in Prague. During , the blacksmith of Sasua, Mikesh, mentions that Zach even attempted to buy the armoury from Ota, but the armourer declined.
While searching for counterfeiters in All that Glisters, Mikesh and Ota will both reveal that Zach has been buying up copper, which Henry suspects is being used as a base for the counterfeit coins. However, Zach denies everything. Eventually, Henry will come to Vitus to question him about the rumors surrounding his father, and Vitus will confess that they do make copper sheets, but denies knowing for who, or why.
Later, in Rattled, Zach asks Henry to don some armour made by Vitus and fight Master Ota's champion, in order to show which is superior. If Henry wins, he will give him a cuirass that Vitus made. Curiously, Vitus' cuirass is better and more valuable than Ota's cuirass (although Ota's is a bit more ostentatious) - so maybe Zach was right all along about his son's talent.
