Biography[]
He was originally from Prague, and studied in Vienna, learning to speak Hungarian until the coin ran out and he started making his way back home. This indicates that he came from a fairly wealthy family, as very few commoners could afford a university education. He complained to Henry about being promised easy work in Bohemia, only to be offered back-breaking jobs at the mill. He jumps at the chance to earn a few groschen for the easy job of translating Hungarian during Lost in Translation.
He translates Henry's threats and promises to the Cuman prisoner they have locked up at the Mill of Budin, but Henry grows suspicious and must convince the Vagrant to tell him the parts he left out. The Vagrant admits that the Cuman had requested that Henry come along with them. Presumably, the Cuman intended to lead them into a trap, while the Vagrant wanted to steal the money for himself. Henry tells him to clear off, and warns the Miller about him.

- If Henry does not question the Vagrant and discover the planned ambush after speaking to the Cuman, the Vagrant will walk to the hill where the Cuman's treasure is and continually trek back and forth through the forest searching for the loot but never find it. He cannot be spoken to again after this and will remain on the hill for the rest of the game. This also happens if Henry discovers the Vagrant's deception and chases him away.
- This could prove problematic, as the Vagrant wanders around a very active hunting location and can witness Henry poaching and cause Henry to become wanted.
- This could also be problematic for players who don't want to kill civilians as there is also a bandit camp in the Vagrant's path and he might end up being killed in the crossfire when Henry raids the second camp pointed to by Captain Bernard during Ruin.
