The Lion's Den is the 22nd main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. You can begin the quest anytime after completing Exodus by talking to Zizka at Devil's Den.

Synposis[]

Sigismund and his henchmen have thwarted our plans. We have to prepare to strike back.

Walkthrough[]

Entering Sigismund's Camp[]

You'll need to simply talk to the guard at the entrance and cough up 500 groschen to get in. You'll be allowed permanent access from this point on though.

Meet with Katherine[]

...

Meet Musa and Heal Myshek[]

You'll need a Strong Cockerel potion to heal Myshek - anything weaker will kill him.

Find the Lost Charter at Old Lhota[]

...

Investigate the Murder[]

...

Talk to Musa[]

...

Examine the Body and Identify the Poison[]

...

The Trial[]

Once you have all the evidence you need, you'll need to accuse someone at the trial with the justiciar. At this point you should've deduced that Chertan was killed with the Kiss of Death poison and that Stephen Crow is clearly the murderer as he had all the required ingredients in his tent, 1000 groschen in his chest (as payment for the sabotage/murder), and the Strange message on his person. However, you can instead accuse Grozav if you so choose and he'll be charged, assuming you select the dialogue responses that support your accusation with the evidence. This doesn't have any affect on the outcome of the quest. (since he's surely the spy in the camp Katherine tells you about in the baths earlier - that's why he was trying to blow up the gunpowder and cannon). If you don't accuse Crow, he'll turn on his fellow Praguers during the following ambush.

The Ambush[]

After the trial, go talk to Katherine - who will leave to go alert Zizka that the cannon is about to be moved. Then equip your combat gear and go talk to Katz when you're ready to leave. A short cutscene will play as the ambush occurs, then you simply need to fight the Praguers. After the fight is won, you can choose to either let Katz go or fight him honorably to the death (I don't know at this point if letting him go has any later consequences). You can also go talk to Crow and ask him what he's up to, though Henry's dialogue will make it seem as though he didn't realize Crow was the murderer all along (though if you discovered all the evidence in his tent, Henry definitely should've known it was him). Talk to Zizka when you're ready and you'll fast travel back to Devil's Den and immediately start the next quest, Dancing with the Devil.

Notes[]

  • There is a hidden chest in the ruined building just northwest of Sigismund's Camp that contains the recipe for the Ataman's sabre.
  • Talking to Katherine immediately after your bath and asking her what's wrong will unlock The Stalker task, which is very quick and gives reputation with her.
  • When Musa is imprisoned under guard in his tent, it's very easy to sneak past the guard during the night unless your sneak is extremely low. You can also convince him with a domination or speech check.
  • While investigating the murderer, Crow has 1000 groschen in the Hard chest right next to his bed - stealing this will trigger suspicion from Henry. You can pickpocket the key to the chest as well as an incriminating letter off him while he sleeps.
