The Axe from the Lake is a task in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Walkthrough[]
This quest is given by Zdenyek the Mouth in Tachov by talking to him and getting him to tell a story. The story will be the same regardless which topic you pick and will be about a silver axe and two brothers and the unfortunate death of one of them.
Despite them all jut believing it's just a fairytale, the axe actually exists. To find it, at Rocktower Pond, look for the pier on the northeastern side of the lake and Henry will remark on it. From here, follow the path that goes northeast and into the woods here to find the tree from the story. Continue following the path to find the rock, and further along you'll eventually find the grave. Dig it up to find the broken axe and some other items.
To re-make the axe, you just need one Fastening material for the "Adorned axe" item. After it's crafted, go back to Zdenyek with it and he'll be surprised, remarking they've told various versions throughout the area, but nobody realized it was based on a real story.
