Svatopluk is an unseen character in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He was the son of the Blacksmith of Samopesh.
Biography[]
He was an enthusiastic fighter, known for his speed more than his strength, who spent much of his time and money developing his sword skills. He even visited Captain Bernard for lessons. During Dead Men Tell No Tales, the blacksmith tells Henry that Svatopluk became sick and died after competing in the Rattay tourney, despite only having a few scratches and bruises.
Henry learns that Svatopluk won the final round against a man known as Black Peter. The next day, when he didn't come home, his father grew worried. Svatopluk was later found by some passing merchants, suffering from a severe fever. They bring him back to his father, but despite the intervention of the local sawbones, he passed away. Although the blacksmith suspected that Black Peter had a hand in his death, there was no proof.
Henry decides to investigate and promises the blacksmith that he will uncover the truth. He travels to Rattay to compete in the Rattay Tourney, and speaks to the Herald. The master of ceremonies tells him that Svatopluk was very popular, and everyone was saddened to hear of his death. He admits that the timing of his death was suspicious, but that there was never any proof linking Black Peter.
However, after winning the Tourney, Henry is ambushed by Black Peter, and after defeating him, searches his body to find he carries a poisoned Page's sword, proving that he did in fact murder Svatopluk. After that, Henry returns to the Blacksmith and tells the father what became of his son.
