The smoke house is an area inside the Butcher's of Pribyslavitz in the DLC From the Ashes, where Henry can smoke raw meats in order to preserve it.

See also the drying shed, which has the ability to dry not just the meat like the smoke house does, but also to dry apples, boletus edulis, cheese, lepiota and pears. Therefore it is generally considered a better choice.

The spoilage duration is effected by the Alchemy perk Salted and Smoked, but not the Hunting perk Salty.

Drying and smoking are widespread and very useful means of preserving food for later consumption. The procedure is the same as for cooking - simply place the meat, fruit or other food in the drier or smokehouse and it'll be ready in the blink of an eye.
