Shortsword

Shortswords are a type of weapon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which are held in the main hand.

Similar to the longswords in that they are sharpened on both sides of the blade, they are however much shorter in length, and some of their combos can still be made when holding a shield.

Strategy and Tactics[]

Widely considered the superior type of one-handed swords, the shortsword is marked by its variety and, usually, balance between stab and slash damage. They are therefore well-rounded in most regards.
Like other one-handed swords, shortswords have fewer combos than longswords. They also cannot perform most of these while holding a shield, though this is compensated for by the natural defense and easier perfect block timing of a shield.
Shortswords are generally more common among NPCs than longswords and quite a few have very low stat requirements. This makes them ideal for the early game, though they tend to be overshadowed later on when both the player and most enemies become heavily armored.
