Polearms and Spears are a type of weapon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Henry can pick these up when dropped by opponents and use them, but cannot move them into his inventory, and so they can only be dropped after use.

Description

Both have a long shaft with a sharpened head made from various metals or stone. They can be thrown at an enemy, or used to block and deflect incoming attacks. These weapons are designed mainly for poking attacks and maintaining distance in combat. They are often abandoned for shorter weapons in close range combat.

Though they are rare to find, they are absolutely and undoubtedly overpowered, as they are capable of dealing almost twice the stab and slash damage of even the best swords and maces in the game. Because of this, they will often one-shot most opponents, unless they are heavily armored.

These weapons are so powerful that, in mounted combat, at least half of them will take out oponnents in only one or two strikes, regardless of how heavily armored they may be.

It is not possible to master-strike while using a polearm, nor to master-strike an enemy who is using one.

Notes

  • These weapons can be seen wielded mostly in larger scale battles and skirmishes.
  • Sometimes one of these can be found on a body in the inventory, allowing the weapon to be carried in an unequipped state, but it still cannot be moved to a horse or stored in the storage chest, and once equipped, cannot be "sheathed" again.
