Plate armour is the most expensive and impressive Armour, thus making it the hardest type of armour to come by. It is also the second heaviest type of armour available, right behind brigandines, yet provides the overall best defenses in-game. It is highly resistant to cutting and piercing attacks, and can best be defeated through blunt force or repeated strikes to drain the wearer's stamina. Otherwise, arrows and stray melee hits pose little threat to the wearer.

It is a good idea to combine it with a Gambeson to get additional protection against blunt attacks to the chest and an arming cap or coif for the head. Having chainmail also covers the exposed gaps that plate does not cover, though in practice most enemies will struggle to hit these gaps at all and plate remains highly protective even without body chainmail.

Plate armour consists of Helmets, Body plates, Arm armour, gauntlets and Leg plates.
