Opus Magnum is a aide quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Walkthrough[]
Right after turning in Forbidden Fruit, Kreyzl will then give the next part needed to attend the wedding: he needs a woman that'll help with distracting the chamberlain, Ulrich. It doesn't really matter if it's a simple woman as he'll also give you a list of items to get to make her stand out and get his attention.
Finding a companion[]
You'll be directed to talk to Dorothy at her bathhouse in Zhelejov Wagoners' Inn. However, long story short, she'll bring out her working girls who won't reveal what Ulrich likes them to do to him, but enough so that none of them want to do it ever again, even for the money being offered. Dorothy will then direct you to someone who came by, Enneleyn, who might be up for it instead.
Enneleyn is usually near the entrance into the Nomads' Camp and talking to her, you'll instantly see she's well-traveled and experienced in dealing with all sorts of clients. She'll take offense though to being told she's basically meant to distract/seduce the chamberlain, but will relent and agree to the job. You can also warn her what the bath girls said, but she'll take it in stride and even become slightly curious about Ulrich now and his peculiar tastes. However, just in case, she always carries a sleeping potion around, but she needs wine for it. You can offer to give her some or try to tell her there will be wine at the wedding.
If you also already obtained everything, you can go straight to giving her each item (dress, perfume, and wine). The next quest/wedding won't start though until you let her know you're ready, so you can give her all these items without worry if you want to finish up other things first.
Getting the dress[]
The piece you need, Tyrol brocade cotehardie, is sold by Bartoshek, the tailor in Troskowitz. However, it's about 245 Groschen so if you don't want to spend this kind of money, you'll have to find another way to obtain it.
Getting the perfume[]
Here, you can either talk to Emmerich first or go talk directly with Betty. In any case, the innkeeper bought the last few bottles the apothecary had and she doesn't really want to part with them. You can try to pass a hard speech check to convince her she doesn't need them, offer to buy it for 499 Groschen, try to steal it, or just go make your own.
If you want to make your own, Emmerich sells the recipe and most of the ingredients are readily available in his garden, with a nearby alchemy bench.
Getting the wine[]
If you opted to get Enneleyn wine, she's not picky and will accept any version for this.
Attending the wedding[]
At this point, you'll reach the point of no return in which person you want to attend the wedding with here: Kreyzl or Radovan. If you want to go with the blacksmith, you won't be able to do this side quest any further during the wedding. However, due to other circumstances, you'll be able to continue this later. If you want to go with the miller to the wedding though, this quest will continue at the wedding as soon as you get dressed appropriately and let Enneleyn you're ready to go.
At the wedding with Kreyzl, Ulrich will immediately notice Enneleyn, introduced under another name as a distant association with Kreyzl. Ulrich will try to dismiss you as no longer needed as he'll escort her around instead, but the rest will let you stay. Enneleyn will later leave Ulrich during the wedding, and while not revealing what he wanted her to do, is disgusted enough she won't go back to him, meaning you'll have to find another way to get the book.
Finding the book[]
If you didn't go with Kreyzl to the wedding, the quest will update after you're set to work off your punishment at the beginning of For Whom the Bells Tolls. However, you wont' be able to do this until you've finished that quest as the scribe is too busy to talk to during it.
Once that main quest completes, go find and talk to Erazim about the book. He'll reveal Lord Nikvard Libak borrowed it but is long overdue to return it. Due to Nikvard's odd tendencies, the scribe thinks he lost the book so is actively avoiding him. He'll then point you to three others who might know more: the cook, Bertha, the maid, Regina, and a stableboy, Hersh. Note you can likely do this quest in tandem with Ulrich's task, Demons of Trosky, as that will give you full access to the castle without issue and prevent a little less running around for both.
Asking around[]
If you talk to the cook, you'll need to either bribe her with 200 Groschen or convince her via a speech check (with the "Listen to me closely" route). If doing the speech route, all options are medium except "the secret will be safe..." which is a hard check. If successful or bribed, she'll reveal Nikvard was having digestive issues and all that entails, so he asked her to discreetly make him some digestive medication. However, one episode caught up to him too quickly so he had an issue in the privies below the guardhouse.
Regina will be a bit annoyed with the topic regarding Nikvard, revealing she has a letter he sent her, despite her not being able to read. Reading it will be rather nonsensical, but reveals he used something from within the book you need but lost said book down the privy's hole.
Hersh meanwhile won't reveal anything unless you pay him a steep fee (5,000 Groschen) or get him a longsword. Note you can lose some reputation a few times with him if you annoy him with trying to talk your way out or call him out on how much money he wants. Once given what he wants, he'll reveal Nikvard wanted him to go retrieve something he lost outside the castle, but ran off before he could tell Hersh exactly what he needed.
Find the book[]
With all their information, it points to the book being somewhere outside the castle, below the guards' privies. On the map, this is roughly in the western part of the rocks around the castle. Head out there and you should find a small path that leads you up to to the area right below the guardhouse to find Nikvard's body. The book, Lightbringer's secret, is further along, in the small alcove past his body.
Talk to Kreyzl[]
After you obtain the book, head back to Kreyzl. Note you can choose to read the book without any consequences, and will give you insight into exactly what the miller is trying to make. Kreyzl will be delighted over getting the book (though understandably confused why it's covered in crap). After a little bit more talk, he'll request you meet him at the Lair where he'll reveal his plans.
At the Lair, you'll be pulled into a long conversation on what the group has really been working towards, with a number of dialogue options you can ask into, like more about Kreyzl's background. Eventually though, it's revealed they're trying to make black powder, or essentially gunpowder. It'll then go to a cutscene with them all trying to test out the completed formula which goes off explosively, knocking out your hearing for a little bit. You'll then automatically receive Recipe for Lead shot gunpowder.
