Kreyzl (Czech: Krejzl) is a miller in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

He can first be met in Troskowitz when first visiting with Hans. After that, he'll be at his mill to the far south.

Kreyzl runs a mill in the area, though others, namely Radovan, will note right in front of Kreyzl that millers are rather shady and to be wary around them. At least when it comes to Kreyzl, Radovan turns out to be correct in this: while Kreyzl runs a mill, he also secretly has employees that he takes on and trains as thieves.

After learning of his true business, he can teach alchemy, thievery, and stealth.

Biography[]

Kreyzl's father ran a mill, saving up what they could to put towards Kreyzl's future and, when he was old enough, his mother sent him off to study in Prague to become a preacher. However, it cost money to not only attend a university but to afford housing and food, so Miller quickly learned to steal to make ends meet. While in school though, his mother passed away and, with Kreyzl getting fed up with how close minded the classes were in sticking strictly to religious ideologies and refusing to branch out of them, eventually packed his bags and left before the school could kick him out over their differences.

After that, he returned home, where his father merely noted "I knew you'd be back" and soon set his son to work in the mill. However, his thirst for knowledge never left him, especially when it came to alchemy and exploring all its uses. While he eventually took over his family's mill, he continued to dabble in alchemy and soon learned by accident a method of making explosive powder.

Wishing to find a way to get the mixture right again, he eventually enlisted the help of several others, like Zinek and Bonnie, but they were still not able to get the ratios right and ended up using all the saltpetre they could find. However, Kreyzl then learned that a monk many years before him had actually learned and perfected the powder and included it in his book, Lightbringer's secret. Even better was the fact a copy of the book was at Trosky Castle. However, knowing he wouldn't be allowed to just go in and ask for it, Kreyzl needed someone to help obtain it.
