Materia Prima is a side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
It's given by Kreyzl if he's sought out for assistance to gain access to the wedding.
Walkthrough[]
After talking to Kreyzl at his mill about a job, he'll assign you to carry a number of sacks from the barn to the wagon. The sacks are in the open barn area to the west, right next to the locked chest. As Henry carries each one, he'll make quite a few remarks that something is off here and that the bags are awfully heavy for flour. Eventually, it'll cut to where one of the bags rips, revealing small, black, metal pebbles, just as Kreyzl approaches if you're done.
Realizing the cat is out of the bag, he'll reveal it's part of something he plans to experiment with, but he needs help stealing something for his plans. If you're up for it, agree and he'll ask you to steal a document from the Rathaus in Troskowitz. You can then ask him about how to do the job, and he'll point you to recovering some of his inconspicuous clothes from the bathhouse at Zhelejov Wagoners' Inn as well as ways to practice lockpicking, takedowns, and pickpocketing with one of the hired hands.
The chest if you want to practice is in the barn near the sacks and will automatically re-lock each time you unpick it, allowing one to build up a low lockpicking skill fast without issue. For takedowns and pickpocketing, go talk to Hensel, who'll take you to the same location in the barn to practice on him.
Prep work[]
Go to the bathhouse, where you can either snoop around or talk to Dorothy about Kreyzl's clothes. If you talk to her, you can offer to buy them or persuade her to give them to you by either implying the clothes are cursed or offering to be loud publicity for her laundering services. If you want to steal them, sneak upstairs to find the chest here, above the building's entrance. You'll find a number of clothing items as well as a few miscellaneous things.
If you want an easier time figuring out how to find the document, go to Zinek in the stocks in Troskowitz or across from the mill to ask him about it. He'll reveal it was confiscated as the guards mistook it as stolen property and likely still in the locked chest in the guard house. You'll either need to try lockpicking it or pickpocket a guard for the key. Zinek will tell you about the key he used and subsequently lost while being held in the cell right in front of the target chest (if you pick it up, Kreyzl will ask for it along with the document).
Get the document[]
Once ready, head out to guard house's underground. Going through the house itself takes a while. From the outside can be tricky as a guard stands here at the stairs that go down, though he will occasionally move from it, sometimes giving just enough time to sneak down. Alternatively, you could just drop down. Behind the locked door in the middle of the stairs is a hidden book on strength. Another guard is in the room at the bottom, though throwing a couple stones will be more than enough to access either the lost key or the chest. Remember to hold E to empty out the chest and close it. On occasion, the door here may already be left open, allowing one to sneak in without issue. Be careful leaving to not get caught, and make your way back to Kreyzl.
Kreyzl will be happy you got it, though he'll get lost in thought as he goes on about alchemy and golems. It'll then complete the quest before going into the next one: Forbidden Fruit. He'll also reward you for both getting the document and the sacks you carried, including the skill book, As Quiet as a Cat I.
