Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the direct sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, continuing the story of Henry of Skalitz in a historically grounded, first-person action RPG developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver. The game was released on 4 February 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Overview[]
Set immediately after the events of the first game, Deliverance II follows Henry as he continues his quest for justice amid the civil conflict between King Wenceslas IV and his half-brother, Sigismund of Hungary. The story unfolds across two vast new regions: the picturesque Bohemian Paradise and the economically vital city of Kuttenberg, both recreated with historical accuracy and visual fidelity.
Building on the foundations of its predecessor, the game offers improved first-person melee combat, expanded RPG systems, and a deeper focus on narrative choice and consequence. The game includes over five hours of cutscenes, a dynamically responsive world, and branching quests that adapt to player decisions.

Development[]
Following the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its additional content, Warhorse Studios began work on its sequel in mid-2019.[2] Over the next few years, the studio expanded significantly, growing from just over 130 team members to around 250 by early 2024.[3] With more manpower, experience, and funding, the developers aimed to fully realize the ambitions they had for the original game. Built on a heavily modified CryEngine, the sequel once again relied on detailed historical research, with input from academics, museum professionals, and historians to create a grounded medieval setting.[4] Technological improvements also brought changes to production; facial capture was added alongside motion capture, and professional stunt riders helped enhance action sequences.[5] According to creative director Daniel Vávra, the script is notably expansive, containing roughly 2.2 million words.[6]
The sequel was officially revealed in April 2024 via a cinematic presentation filmed in the historic St. Barbara's Church in Kutná Hora, and it launched on 4 February 2025. Three editions were released: the Standard Edition, a Gold Edition including bonus gear and future DLC, and a Collector's Edition that bundled in exclusive physical items. Those who pre-ordered any version received an additional treasure hunt quest, which rewards a unique armor set.
