Daniel Vávra (Born 2 September 1975) is a Czech game writer, director and designer and the co-founder of Warhorse Studios.

Biography[]

Daniel Vávra was born in Rychnov nad Kněžnou but he moved to Prague soon after. Since Childhood Daniel enjoyed working with computers and videogames. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Turnov and in 1998 he joined Illusion Softwork where he started working for his first videogame: Hidden and Dangerous, for which he created some textures. His next project was Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, where he was the lead designer, director and screenwriter. Later he became the leader of Illusion Softwork (renamed as 2K Czech) and his last project for this studio was Mafia II. He then left the Studio in 2009.

In 2011, Daniel Vávra together with Martin Klíma, founded Warhorse Studios. The first game the company worked on is Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
