Clothes Make the Man is a side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. After their misadventures in the bathhouse, Henry and Lord Hans Capon have been summoned by Sir Hanush, and Hans insists that Henry look the part.
Synopsis[]
Sir Hanush has sent for me and Lord Capon. As Sir Hans´ page, I should dress as well as I can for an audience like that. Fortunately, he was kind enough to let me have some of his cast-offs, which are still finer than anything I've ever worn!

Walkthrough[]
After Questions and Answers and Next to Godliness, Henry goes to Rattay to see how Sir Hans Capon is doing. He's a bit gloomy, as Sir Hanush has summoned the two of you - no doubt you'll be expected to answer for your shenanigans in the bathhouse. Of course, Hans doesn't want you attending a formal audience dressed like a peasant, and offers to loan you some of his things.
Hans sets an excellent fashion example
You can go as you are (Sir Hanush wont say anything), but you do want to make a good impression on the nobility, so go to the chest and take out the black chaperon, brown hose, decorated riding boots, decorated shirt, linen shirt, and red-white miparti hose. Grab the merchant's sword too, and the arrows if you like.
Put the clothes on, or wear whatever else you like, and speak to Sir Hans to attend your meeting with Sir Hanush. He's not happy, to say the least, and rakes Hans over the coals for his immaturity and recklessness, threatening to send him to live with his mother instead of taking up the ruling of Rattay. However, he has decided to give him one more chance to prove himself by helping Sir Bernard hunt down his troublesome cousin, Wolfin of Kamberg.
Notes[]
- Warning: This quest and the related quest Robber Baron with its related achievement cannot be started or completed after going past the point of no return in The Die is Cast.
- If you are already wearing high quality clothes when first speaking to Hans Capon, the quest will skip him giving you some, and despite saying you can come back later for them, the chest they are in is never activated. This prevents ever getting them, as there is not even a lock to pick.
- There appears to be a dead clip during the cutscene. When Hans is asking about Archibald, the screen goes black.
