Circator John (Czech: Cirkátor Jan), also known as Brother John, (bratr Jan) is a minor character in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He was a monk at Sasau Monastery, in charge of maintaining order and discipline along with Circator Stibor. He was popular amongst the older monks, who believed that his experience, merit and composure made him the natural choice to succeed Abbot Peter.

Biography[]
Brother John is the circator, and is described by Antonius as "an unpleasant old man." With the election of a new Abbott on the horizon, Brother John has the support of the older brothers, who think he will maintain the status quo. His rival, Brother Nevlas, has the support of the younger brothers.
He can make A Needle in a Haystack difficult, as he will put you in solitary for any infractions - violence, stealing, breaking curfew, not attending to your duties. He scoffs at the idea of "weak and toothless" Nevlas being made Abbott, and asks Henry to do a bit of digging and find out if his rival has been doing anything he shouldn't.
During Nasty Habits, Henry would discover that John and Stibor have been sneaking down to the cellars to drink, which is against Monastic rules. They invite Henry to join them, darkly commenting that if he doesn't, he'll end up like Lucas. If you decide to help Lucas, you'll trigger the quest The Trials of a Novice, where Henry will have the option to confront the Circators and get them to ease up on the young novice.
