Charlatan

The Charlatan (Czech: Šarlatán) is a minor character in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He is a friendly but slightly unscrupulous character who plies his trade at the Sasau marketplace, before moving to Ledetchko. He can also train Henry in Alchemy and Pickpocketing. With the A Woman's Lot DLC he can be found near the Potter north of Skalitz during Theresa's prologue.

Biography[]

The day before the Sack of Skalitz, the Charlatan was seen near the village and may have sold Theresa items including a treasure map.

Henry could ask for a relic of St Procopius in his search for remains of St Procopius for Urban. The Charlatan, true to his name, offered to sell him a finger bone belonging to a good man--or at least not a bad man--who might have even been called Procopius. Henry could take him up on the offer or continue searching for a genuine relic.

The Charlatan asked for Henry's assistance in finding some precious relics to sell as his stock was running low--or at least, something that looked like precious relics, including a lucky talisman, a topping-out branch, and Procopius' tooth. Once he has these items, he requested that Henry get him a burial shroud.

Later, an angry mob descended upon the Charlatan's house, while the man himself escaped out a window, telling Henry that his reward was in the trunk, and promising to meet him in Ledetchko. Henry could either talk or fight his way out of the situation to then access the contents of the trunk.

The Charlatan laid low for a while, before popping up in Ledetchko, between the inn and the tailor.
