The bascinet with bretache is an armour item in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and is categorized as a helmet. It comes in two varieties, which have the same icon and stats but they have a slightly different bretach (nose).
Description[]
This bascinet is equipped with a bretache, which protects the wearer's nose and part of the face, as well as an aventail to protect the neck.
How to Obtain[]
- Can be bought from armoursmiths.
- Commonly found on armored bandits.
- Worn by several guards.
- One will always spawn on one of the bandits outside Skalitz, among the group of six bandits in the work yard down the road from Theresa's house. Can be acquired as early as the quest Homecoming if the player is able to kill this bandit. This is the highest level helmet that can be acquired during the prologue without knocking out and looting a guard.

- This item is technically a direct upgrade to both the open bascinet, and the covered bascinet.
