Biography[]

The Bailiff of Uzhitz visited Skalitz on the morning of King Sigismund's attack, but left shortly before Sigismund's army arrived and narrowly evaded the destruction.

Henry first meets him while investigating the attack on Neuhof as part of Mysterious Ways, and runs into him again while drinking with Father Godwin. The Bailiff is not pleased that the priest is out past curfew, and threatens to write to the Bishop to complain. Father Godwin insults the Bailiff, who has the duo thrown onto the streets, sparking a brawl.

The next day, if Henry is not able to give a convincing sermon, the Bailiff will tell him to speak to the Scribe of Rattay and read his Black Chronicle to find more clues. The Bailiff also threatens to have Henry and Godwin put in the stocks for disrupting the peace, but is appeased when Henry agrees not to associate with the debauched cleric anymore.
