A Good Scrub is a side quest in the Kuttenberg area in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Synopsis[]
Betty, the owner of the baths in Kuttenberg, asked me to help her get the bankrupt business up and running again.
Walkthrough[]
Retrieve the Package[]
You will enter a decrepit house that allegedly used to be a bath house. With some luck, it can serve the same function once again. Betty asks you to go to Grund to check on a package that should have arrived awhile ago. Arriving at the town's alehouse, you'll see three girls. The wagoner, who was supposed to deliver the "package", is nearby - usually leaning on the wall next to the gate to the alehouse itself. After some back and forth, you'll eventually convince both parties to go to Kuttenberg. Although it's possible to travel independently, it is strongly recommended by the game itself you take the wagon with them.
Announce the Bathhouse[]
Back in Kuttenberg, Betty needs you to announce the opening of the bathhouse, now officially called The Kingfisher, to the masses. You'll design the announcement together with Betty. The results of different choices here are not known, and it's entirely possible that they don't matter at all.
The quest indicates four spots for you to announce the opening: at each of them, a quick talk action will pop up for you to start shouting the prepared announcement. In a random location out of these four, you'll be confronted by a disgruntled gentleman, who is of the opinion that bathhouses are infested with sin. Subdue the man with your fists or with a smart argument, either way is okay.
Party at The Kingfisher[]
Tell Betty that everything is ready. You should probably prepare a Hair o' the Dog potion if you dislike your Henry having a hangover. If you did everything right, you'll get one of the funnier cutscenes in game.
The next morning, you're woken up by one of the bath maids. A city councilor came by for a surprise inspection, and Betty is delaying him. Your job is to clean up the mess from the past night. Gather the tankards and dirty clothes from the floor - none is hidden away too much, but some items are in the bath area and some are in the main area with tables. Clean up your own vomit next to one of the baths. Carry the unconscious guests to the floor above you and the first room on the right. Put on some decent clothing.
When you finish the cleanup, the city official will check the premises and sign off on their impeccable condition. Talk with Betty to finish the quest.
Notes[]
- It is unknown whether the quest can render different results for players announcing the opening at bad times of the day.
- If you can't decide between being a boob man or a bottoms man, the girls will assume that you're interested in men, rather than women.
- Considering that Henry stares at Theresa's butt in the KCD1 prologue, Henry is canonically an ass man.
