Can someone add a note in ambrocation wiki page? There is a bug in game where if you follow the books recipe to make it, it's gonna give you only 2 potions (which means that you made a mistake), but if in the end you will distile potion (something what books doesn't tell you to do), you will get perfect result. Developers just forgot to add this word in recipe and I almost went insane, trying to understand what was wrong
What's on your mind?

I bought this game off a massive discount and haven’t played yet. I will download it soon. Is there any suggestions that you can give my for example any mistakes I shouldn’t make early on the game?
Thank you
This was an answer I gave on another forum to a question about the best time to pursue side quests. I thought some here might find it useful, as well.
"With a few worthwhile exceptions, there is no realistic opportunity to pursue many of the side quests prior to meeting Sir Radzig in Rattay. Henry is on urgent business, so the idea of him holding off pressing matters to go pursue random adventures would be a steep breaking of character. The exceptions would be The Good Thief, A Friend in Need, A Costly Brawl, In God's Hand's, A Man of the Cloth, A Friend Indeed, and A Woman's Lot.
The Good Thief is a given. The game directly prompts you to speak to Theresa's uncle, and as he paid for the care that saved your life, you are indebted to him. Then, upon speaking to Theresa about the Skalitz survivors, she confirms that Johanka is in Sasau and that Matthias is in Merhojed, but while she appears confident that Fritz and Matthew are well, she does not know exactly what became of them. This would give Henry good reason to go seek greater assurance of their wellbeing, and speaking to Johanka would be an ideal place to start. Conveniently, while on the way to speak with her, Henry runs into Fritz and Matthew at the Sasau Wagoner's Inn. After speaking to each of them, A Friend in Need and A Costly Brawl begin. A Costly Brawl takes Henry into the monastary, where the game will passively trigger an encounter with Johanka, who then provides a prompt to begin In God's Hands. While Henry is eager for vengeance against the bandits who attacked him, a desperate plea for help from his dying neighbors will naturally take priority over reporting a missing sword. One of the objectives in In God's Hands will send Henry down to the Rattay executioner, and along the way back, he can speak to Theresa about the objective in A Friend in Need. Theresa will direct Henry to Ledetchko, where he can conveniently complete A Friend in Need along the way back to Sasau. Another objective in In God's Hands will send Henry up to Rovna to find Father Simon, starting A Man of the Cloth. After finishing up In God's Hands, the time comes for Henry to report to Radzig. After completing training with Captain Bernard, getting kitted up at the armory, and receiving his assignment from the Bailiff, you should have some free time remaining in the evening to see how Fritz and Matthew are settling in at their new job in Ledetchko, which will allow you to complete A Friend Indeed. Then, before going to sleep, you could speak with Theresa about her experience in the raid, completing A Woman's Lot.
On your way to speak to Sir Divish during the main quest Nest of Vipers, guards will advise you to go speak to Lady Stephanie, which will prompt the At Your Service, My Lady side quest. It just does not make any sense, though, for Henry to become distracted from his vengeance, at the very moment it is about to be carried out no less, to go on a multi day errand boy run. It could be accommodated by Divish saying that it is going to take some time to muster together his forces or something along those lines, but unfortunately, he is already prepared to go and actually asks you if you are ready. If you were willing to gloss over that particular missed plot opportunity, however, you could justify completing At Your Service, My Lady and House of God while Divish "gathers his soldiers." Otherwise, you can wait until the main quest Baptism of Fire is finished, at which point Radzig does afford some opportunity to linger a bit and justify returning to Talmberg to assist Lady Stephanie on At Your Service, My Lady and help Divish with House of God. One of the objectives during At Your Service, My Lady will take you to the Uzhitz stables, where you will need a favor from one of the stablehands. The game does not directly connect the two, but as the stablehand is in need of a favor himself, you can justify completing The Horse That Bolted in exchange for his assistance with your objective there. If you proceed from Uzhitz to Rattay to complete the next objective, you could justify stopping by to check on Ginger and Zora in Neuhof along the way, providing an opportunity to complete The Sport of Kings and the intertwined Talmberg Horse Race. Then, once you return on your way to Rattay, you will have an opportunity to begin Courtship with Theresa. Thereafter, when the third objective in At Your Service, My Lady takes you back to Sasau, you will be told that some time will pass before the character involved can help you complete it. During this time, you could justify completing House of God as well as Johanka's DLC. The Madonna of Sasau will take Henry back to Uzhitz to speak with Father Godwin. As with The Horse That Bolted, although the game itself provides no prompt, there is an opportunity to justify assisting Father Godwin with Playing with the Devil in exchange for his assistance with completing your objective.
During At Your Service, My Lady, you could stop and pursue various side quests unprompted beyond the assumption of Henry being offered the quests as a result of him being conversational everywhere he goes, but in truth, while they are enjoyable on their own, many of the side quests really just do not line up well with the plot. On the other hand, some side quests align with the plot so well that they are not really side quests at all, in my opinion, but simply optional objectives within main quests - Pestilence and Rocketeer, for example. Others are more along the lines of paid tasks than proper quests, such as Tricks of the Trade and Weeds. Most of these task variety quests can be picked up along the way as you encounter them, but they seldom flow well with the plot, in my opinion. In the interest of added challenge and greater immersion, I prefer an approach in which I only allow myself to use items directly provided by the game itself, such as Theresa giving you the Skalitz shield at the end of A Woman's Lot or Hans Capon telling you to grab a bow and some arrows out of the chest during The Prey, so the side quests that amount to little more than money making opportunities are something I tend to avoid by default anyway. But I digress... I am currently in the middle of another playthrough with this exact matter in mind, so I will update this reply as I go along if I encounter any good plot fitting side quest opportunities along the way.
Also: Though not prompted, during In God's Hands, the game may provide Henry an opportunity to assist the Rattay Executioner with the Tough Love side quest. I say "may" because the quest's availability could be the result of a glitch, as Tough Love does not always become available this early on. Either way, however, Henry will have no means to complete the quest until after meeting Sir Radzig. An ideal opportunity to complete the quest will become available while in Rattay completing an objective during At Your Service, My Lady."
My post went up twice, and it would let me edit but not let me delete this duplicate for some reason.
I found a way to get uncommon die without console commanding them in, shortly after the capon quest "next to godliness" you can visit the bathhouse room where you played die against the bathmaid, on the table you will see 5-6 uncommon die which you can pick up legitimately. the die still has no texture in inventory or description, as well as still being valued at 0.1 GR.
Is there a particular reason why there appears to be no possibility to comment under any of this wiki's pages? I have seen that on other Fandom wikis, and it's an excellent resource for sharing info/experiences in a less official manner - as well as for just discussing that topic with others and even discussing editing choices for that page. In other words, comments are basically a must-have feature. No idea who are the admins here, but I hope someone could fix this critical shortcoming - hopefully sooner rather than later
I am happy to announce that articles now have comment sections located at the bottom of each page to allow easier discussions.
The talk pages which originally served this purpose have been archived in case they are ever need in the future.
You can get maintence by destroying and repairing just one weapon forever. You don t even need to change a weapon or remove it from wheel for sharpening.
Second, it doesn't matter which sword you use so it s probably the best to use the best sword bcs they are the cleanest so you can easily see when it s sharp and when it s destroyed.
Third, sharpening gives you 1 exp for 1 condition point and destroying weapon gives 1/5 exp for every destroyed condition point
I feel like I've hit a bug or something broken. I cannot find these crimps. I've spoken to the Innkeeper and the Bailiff. Thomas is dead. :( The Miller won't say anything to me. He offered me a job the first time I met him, and I turned him down. Now all he does is offer to buy stolen goods from me.
There is the suggestion about dice games, but I have no idea how to follow up with that.
I've been to the Sasau church after 22nd hour as the wiki says, but no one ever shows up. If I've somehow got to kneel to trigger the event, I don't know how or where. The option never comes up.
I've been wandering around for a few days now, and nothing new occurs. Please help.

I was intrigued in the frescos of Pribylavitz and took some time to looking at them. I thought I'd share my thoughts on them, because Warhorse nicely used medieval symbolism, you might appreciate.
Left side in the nave:
Left: The battle of Skalitz with latin caption "1403 Skalitz in flames"
Right: Henry enters into Radzig's service with latin caption "God is strong and just"
Top: Mary mother of God in typical red and blue dress with three angels
Right side in the nave:
Left: The battle of Pribyslavitz with Henry slaying Runt in the church, with latin caption "he wins the battle at Pribyslavitz"
Right: Divish makes Henry the bailiff of Pribyslavitz, symbolized in the typical medieval style of the handing over of a building with latin caption "The first founder of Pribyslavitz Henric von Skalitz"
Top: A female saint or alegorical "Mother Church" with the 11 disciples under her cloak (Judas missing of course). Two angels.
Choir:
Left: Crucifixion of Christ with Mary other of God and maybe Mary Magdalen, or one of the other women and Saint John (right). Sun and Moon.
Right: Jesus at the Mount of Olives awaiting his arrest. Jesus is praying to God and is comforted by an angel while the disciples are sleeping.
Center top: Christ with Mary Mother of God (left) and another saint (right). Angels blowing the trumpets of doomsday and the dead rising from their graves according to the Book of Revelation.
Center middle: Twelve disciples holding the symbols of their martyrdom or other usual symbols. From left to right:
Thaddaeus or Matthias (replacing Judas) with stone,
Thomas with lance
Andrew with saltire cross
Bartholomew with knife
Matthew with axe
Peter with key
Philip with cross
James the great or the less
Simon the Zealot with saw
James the great or the less
Judas Thaddaeus with club
John with chalice
Center bottom: The people now living. Not yet dead and not yet saved because they do not have a halo and death is at their feet waiting to get them.
I hope you enjoyed
Hello!
I am playing via Epic Launcher and I have put in the -devmode in the launch options. I am running version 1.9.6-404-504u of the game.
I am having some problem with using the console command to add several pieces of meat to my inventory.
The Wiki suggests I should use the command wh_cheat_addItem X #, where X is the item number and # is the number of that item
So for example, for 20 hare meat I should then use the command:
wh_cheat_addItem 6f1d0e9e-d532-4476-af7a-e24ea01da040 20
But it does not seem to work. I only get 1 piece of meat each time.
I also tried the alternate command without much more luck (cheat_add_item id:X amount:#)
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Amy

This wiki is really a great one, and the fact you've got information about every single quest or weapon makes me admire this community. But when I started modding KCD, I found out that many items had some kind of mess with their params.
For example, before my edits, Prodder shortsword had it's Slash and Stab damage swapped (though the data in Shortsword table was accurate). Also having Coxcomb with 20 Charisma instead of 10 as well as Trusty companion with 66 Durability instead of 56 makes me wonder... Were there any problems with understanding in-game xml-tables, or someone was in such a big hurry that could not check these values before inputing, or the devs changed all the params since 2018? Sometimes this kind of mistakes looks just ridiculous.
Anyway, expect further edits. See you in Rattay, noble knights.
Can i destroy or rebuild bakery instance butchery for example?
Or Gardhouse instance stables?
